Situated at Indo-Myanmar border, Nampong is a quaint small town in Arunachal Pradesh. It is also referred to as Hell Pass due to the highly dangerous route, which was used during the 2nd World War. Situated at a distance about 25 km from the Pangsau Pass near Indo-Myanmar Border, World War II Cemetery built in the memory of soldiers who lost their lives during the 2nd World War. Popularly known as the Jairampur Cemetery, it has burial bodies of soldiers from India, China, America and Britain. Further, there are about 1000 graves of the allied soldiers and most of them have been destroyed by the wild elephant. The site is currently undergoing renovation in the supervision of government of Arunachal Pradesh.
